Ukrainian drone strikes reveal shifting dynamics on the frontlines

A critical Ukrainian unit, the 47th Mechanized Brigade, showcased another recording from the front near Avdiivka. A drone struck an approaching BMP transporter belonging to a Russian assault group. This time, the Russian crew got off lightly.

It's the 817th day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Fierce battles continue in the Volchansk area. Bombings on Kharkiv also persist. The British defence minister asserts that the coming weeks will be difficult. Meanwhile, Russian forces have moved their bombers to a distant base in the Murmansk region—experts believe this is related to concerns about potential Ukrainian attacks inside Russia. In Paris, there is ongoing discussion about allowing the Ukrainian side to strike within the territory of the Russian Federation with weapons supplied by France. Intense fighting is also ongoing in the Avdiivka area, where Ukrainians are bravely defending themselves despite the increasing number of attacking Russian forces.

One of the most important Ukrainian units, the 47th Mechanized Brigade, showcased new footage from near Avdiivka. It shows how a Ukrainian PVC drone hits a locally traversing Russian assault group. The enemy crew can consider themselves very lucky, as at the moment of impact, it did not lead to a massive explosion but only severe engine damage to the machine.

Right after the strike, we see an assault group consisting of eight men quickly evacuate the smoke-filled transporter and flee in panic, leaving the uncrewed vehicle to travel the field on its own.

The military service Oryx, which counts visually confirmed Russian losses, reports that Russia has lost at least 15,878 aircraft, armoured vehicles, cars, and various types of artillery in Ukraine.
