Ukraine's precision strike devastates Russian HQ in Donetsk with drone
The 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine boasted on the internet of a precise strike on a Russian headquarters in the town of Solovei in the Donetsk region. Soldiers from the combat drone company of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spotted around 20 Russian soldiers moving towards a barn in the town of Solovei (Donetsk region, northwest of Avdiivka). They suspected it might be their local headquarters, a first aid post, or a logistics centre.
The drone entered through a window. An explosion followed shortly
Once a significant number of Russian soldiers were inside, they were targeted by a kamikaze drone that entered through a window. An intense explosion and fire followed the impact. It seems unlikely that many survived the blast. Approximately 20 invaders were killed or injured.
The footage was reportedly captured on Sunday or Monday.
Russians advance in the Kharkiv region
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on Tuesday evening that in response to heavy shelling and a Russian offensive, Ukrainian units repositioned to more strategic locations in the Lukianka and Wovchansk areas in the Kharkiv region.
"In some sectors in the Lukianka and Wovchansk areas, due to enemy fire and assault actions, to protect the lives of our soldiers and minimize losses, units repositioned to more strategic locations. The battle continues. Ukrainian units are preventing Russian invaders from consolidating their positions. Counter-offensive actions are underway, with the enemy continuously under artillery and defence forces fire control," - the Staff stated in the communication.
Earlier, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, HUR General Kyrylo Budanov, indicated that the Kyiv forces seemed close to stabilizing the situation after Russia's ground assault on the Kharkiv region but warned of Russian force accumulation to the north near the Sumy region.
