Ukraine's airstrike tally: Over 30 Russian jets hit in 2024

Ukrainians have created a map of hits on Russian aircraft in 2024. It was emphasised that not all machines were destroyed, and some likely went for repairs.

The Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine created a map of successful hits on Russian aircraft in the first six months of 2024.

"Some were damaged but could return to airports for repairs. Moreover, in some cases, it was not possible to reliably determine the models of the destroyed aircraft. Information will be updated and supplemented," conveyed in a statement.

Over 30 aircraft

According to the data, the Ukrainians successfully hit over 30 Russian military aircraft, including nine Su-25s, thirteen Su-34s, and two MiG-31s.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian invaders have lost 361 aircraft and 326 helicopters.
