Attacks from both sides marked the end of May in the war in Ukraine. One of the more notable attacks was carried out by the Ukrainians on the oil depot in Taman. A recording of this seemingly unsuccessful kamikaze drone strike appeared online.

It has already been over two years since February 24, 2022, when Russia escalated the armed conflict in Ukraine. During this time, we have repeatedly seen how many experts and Russians overestimated the country's combat capability led by Vladimir Putin.

The special operation, which was supposed to last only a few days, has stretched to over two years, and little indicates its imminent end. However, prolonging the conflict and the countless failures point to overestimating some of Russia's military capabilities.

Even before the beginning of the war in Ukraine, there was talk of the so-called Iron Dome, which was supposed to guard the Russian skies. Meanwhile, within just two years, the Ukrainians have repeatedly shown that the protection is not as tight as the Russians would like.

After drones appeared multiple times over Moscow, this time the Ukrainian army struck a significantly more critical point. This pertains to the Russian oil depots located in Tuman.

Although seemingly ineffective at first glance, this attack had two critical objectives. First, it embarrassed the Russians, showing that enemy equipment can move almost unimpeded across the Russian Federation's territory. Simultaneously, it is an essential target from a military standpoint because without oil, no Russian vehicle will be ready for use.

What is most striking in the short film showing this attack is the clumsy attempts to shoot down the kamikaze drone just before its final hit on the oil tank. However, judging by the small explosion, the drone most likely still did not hit the intended target.
