Warning! Numerous reports about alleged attacks and aggression from Ukraine, as well as updates on the war provided by Russian and Belarusian state media, should be treated with scepticism. These reports may be part of an information campaign led by the Russian Federation.
"We view these accusations as a deliberate provocation by the Kremlin, aimed at inciting anti-Ukrainian sentiment amongst the Russian public, promoting the mobilisation of Russian citizens to join the unlawful aggression against our country, and damaging Ukraine’s reputation both within Russia and internationally," the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained.
The Ministry reminds us that the Russian government has a lengthy record of orchestrating violent provocations through its intelligence services. "For Putin's regime, no act is too extreme. They are willing to sacrifice their own citizens for political gain, as seen in the war with Ukraine where thousands of innocent Ukrainians were killed through missile attacks, artillery bombardment, and torture," the ministry's website notes.
Attack on Crocus City Hall
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the international community to reject outright the baseless Russian claims that Ukraine had any involvement in the attack on Krasnogorsk and to boost support for Ukraine in its resistance against Russia's unjust aggression.
On Friday evening, five assailants stormed the Crocus City Hall concert venue, resulting in the deaths of well over 100 individuals and injuries to around 120, as reported by the Federal Security Service. The assault occurred just before a scheduled performance by the renowned Russian band Piknik. It is estimated that the venue could have been filled with over six thousand people, given that nearly every ticket had been sold.
The terrorist attack was claimed by the Islamic State, though no proof has been offered.
