Ukraine conflict may trigger mass migration into Europe, German sources warn

The conflict in Ukraine has been ongoing for nearly two years. Nothing seems to indicate that the conflict happening just over our eastern border will conclude soon.

The concept of "war fatigue in Ukraine" is emerging more often in public discussions. President Andrzej Duda recently voiced a warning against this phenomenon:

War fatigue is a profoundly dangerous phenomenon, which we need to thwart - he stated.

War fatigue and dwindling support for the Ukrainian resistance could result in a halt of aid to Kyiv. NEXTA agency shares via the Twitter platform that journalists from the German newspaper are taking it a step further. They predict a massive migration crisis in Europe if Ukraine falls,.

"Die Welt" reporters propose that if Russia emerges victorious - one of the main destinations for refugees from Ukraine will be their home country.

Should Ukraine be conquered, roughly 10 million people will vacate the country. Under these circumstances, the vast majority of refugees will flood into Western Europe, with Germany as one of the main destinations.

This scenario seems unlikely if Europe and the United States persist in financially supporting Kyiv. Difficulties with the passage of another aid package are already becoming apparent in the US Capitol.

Europe continues to show solidarity with Kyiv, passing another aid package at the start of February. As a result, journalists from "Die Welt" are softening their message.- However, the federal government assumes that Ukraine will maintain the front until the end of 2024 - we read in the publication.
