Women often resort to tweezers, depilatory creams, wax strips, or lasers. However, few of us are aware that there is a more affordable alternative to store-bought cosmetics and professional treatments. It involves a product that is a staple in many kitchens and is readily available in shops.
Turmeric for facial hair?
Many women struggle with facial hair. Although it's natural, we often choose to remove it regularly. To achieve this, we may visit beauty salons or handle it ourselves at home. Surprisingly, instead of spending money on costly, specialised products, we can use items likely already found in our kitchen.
Turmeric, a spice originating from India, not only imparts an intense yellow colour to dishes and stands out for its unique aroma, but it is also appreciated for its taste properties. Recently, consuming it with warm water and lemon in the morning has gained popularity. It has also been discovered that turmeric can help in the battle against facial hair.
This spice is known for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. Not everyone is aware that it can also lighten hair and slow its growth.
How to prepare a homemade remedy for facial hair?
A suitable mixture must be prepared to remove facial hair, requiring two other ingredients. All we need is:
- 1 tablespoon of ground turmeric,
- 180 millilitres of yogurt (milk can also be used as a substitute),
- 2 tablespoons of chickpea flour.
Mix all the ingredients until a uniform paste is formed. Apply the prepared mixture to unwanted hair and leave it on as a kind of mask for about 15-20 minutes. Then, using a paper towel soaked in warm water, simply wipe off the paste, and you're done. The facial hair will disappear without a trace!
