Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States. During the ceremonies at the Capitol, the White House's official website changed appearance. Visitors to the site are greeted by a large headline: "America is back!", referencing Trump's campaign slogan.
Donald Trump took the oath of office on Monday as the 47th President of the United States during a ceremony at the Capitol, officially commencing his presidency.
“I solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Trump declared, taking the oath on the Bible in the presence of Chief Justice John Roberts.
During these official ceremonies, White House staff are moving the Trump family in, unloading their furniture and belongings.
An important change was also noticed by internet users. The appearance of the White House's official website changed.
From now on, by visiting www.whitehouse.gov, visitors can see a video featuring, among other things, a symbolic flight of an eagle.
