The Republican Party's presidential candidate in the USA is already developing a strategy for international politics. Donald Trump gave an interview for Time magazine, declaring his willingness to help Ukraine. However, he stipulates strict conditions for this support and demands greater European financial involvement.

In an extensive interview for "Time" magazine, Donald Trump shared his thoughts on various aspects of politics, including issues related to NATO, the situation in Europe, and the war in Ukraine. During the discussion, the presidential candidate highlighted his plans for key international issues.

Donald Trump was asked about potential support from the United States for Ukraine, which is fighting aggression from Russia. While his response indicated a willingness to help, it was not without certain conditions. Trump suggested that support would depend on a range of factors.

In the talk with Time, Donald Trump said, "I’m going to try and help Ukraine, but Europe has to get there also and do their job." He also noted that European countries are not "paying their fair share."

Trump wants Europe to financially support Ukraine

Donald Trump threatened to end support for Ukraine if Europe does not increase its financial involvement. In his view, European countries are not adequately responding to the needs of Ukraine.

If Europe is not going to pay, why should we? - asked the presidential candidate in the USA.

He thought European countries were significantly more affected by the war than others. He elaborated that unlike the USA, which is separated from Ukraine by an ocean, nothing physically separates Europe from Ukraine. Therefore, he believes that European countries should provide more financial assistance to Ukraine, which is under attack by Russia.

In the conversation with "Time," Donald Trump confirmed his earlier stance. For a long time, the politician has been focusing on reducing the United States' involvement in international matters. Trump would prefer to focus on domestic issues in the USA.

USA support for Ukraine

In April, the House of Representatives in the USA approved a support package worth £51 billion for Ukraine, which had been blocked for many weeks. This package is intended, among other things, to provide military and budgetary support for Ukraine. It is an important step demonstrating the solidarity of the United States with Ukraine in the face of ongoing Russian aggression.

Despite the positive outcome of the House vote, 112 Republican congressmen expressed their opposition to the support package for Ukraine. This shows that resistance from conservative circles in the United States remains significant.
