As CNN reports, the victory was decided by the results from Wisconsin, where Trump gained the majority after 99% of the votes were counted. The station's presenter announced it’s official. CNN predicts Donald Trump has been elected president, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris.
Meanwhile, according to AP calculations, the Republican candidate has obtained 277 electoral votes, seven more than the required minimum, while the Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris, currently has 224 electoral votes.
CNN reminds us that Trump is the second US president to return to the White House after a break. In the 19th century, Grover Cleveland was the first to achieve this.
