After Donald Trump's swearing-in and inaugural speech, country star Carrie Underwood was scheduled to perform. The music began, but it quickly fell silent, causing confusion among the attendees.

The surprised artist waited for the issue to be resolved for some time. Eventually, she decided to sing without any musical accompaniment.

"I'll just sing; you know the words," said Carrie Underwood, proceeding to perform a cappella.

"America the Beautiful" is a well-known American patriotic song that has been performed by artists such as Ray Charles. There was once a proposal to make it the second national anthem of the United States, but this did not come to pass.
