Trump and Harris in tight race as early votes counted
CNN has published the results of a survey conducted in Nevada and Arizona—states where early voting is already underway. In Nevada, Trump emerged as the winner, while in Arizona, Harris led. CNN forecasts that the final results in these two states will be nearly tied.
In Nevada, 52 per cent of voters voted for Trump and 46 per cent for Harris. In Arizona, Trump received 44 per cent, and Harris obtained 53 per cent.
The study reveals that 42 per cent of Nevada voters have already cast their votes, and 55 per cent in Arizona. According to the forecast, the difference between the candidates will narrow each day, and after the voting ends, it will be a mere one per cent. In Arizona, Harris is predicted to win by 48 to 47 per cent, while in Nevada, Trump is anticipated to win by the same margin.
A similar forecast for Arizona was published on Monday by the local state university. Researchers indicate that the Democratic candidate has slightly better chances of winning, despite Republicans predominating in Arizona.
Neck and neck. There's a poll from a key state
The stakes are high. Arizona is one of the crucial states—a victory there secure as many as 11 electoral votes.
In 2020, Joe Biden won there by 0.2 percentage points. This was the first win for Democrats in this state in a presidential election since Bill Clinton's tenure.
The elections in the United States will take place on Tuesday, 5th November.
