Oatmeal provides complex carbohydrates, ensuring a long-lasting feeling of fullness. Chia seeds are rich in fibre, protein, omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and vitamins B and E. They also have gelling properties, pleasantly thickening the overnight oats. It's simply a perfect duo. You can experiment with various toppings to create new flavour variations.

Ingredients:

  • half a cup of oats,
  • 250 ml of plant-based or cow's milk,
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds,
  • 1 flat tablespoon of honey or maple syrup,
  • fruits, peanut butter, nuts, or other toppings to taste.

Instructions:

  1. In a jar or bowl, mix the oats, milk, chia seeds, and honey. You can adjust the amount of honey to your preference. Maple syrup, vanilla sugar, or erythritol will also work well here.
  2. Cover the container with a lid and place it in the fridge overnight.
  3. In the morning, stir the oatmeal before serving. If it's too thick, add a bit of milk or yoghurt.
  4. Add your favourite fruits, nuts, dried fruits, or other toppings to taste. Peanut butter or grated dark chocolate will also work great.

Simple and tasty overnight oats are ready. Just toss them in a bag or backpack and take them with you. After such a breakfast, you'll feel energised. Enjoy!
