Tragic shooting in Viseu: Police hunt suspects in rival feud

On Friday evening at the Palácio do Gelo in Viseu, located in north-central Portugal, a tragic shooting took place. Local police reported that a 44-year-old woman was killed as she was leaving the shopping centre.
Two other people, a man and a woman, were injured and taken to hospital.
Chase for the attackers
The police are conducting an intense chase for the group of men who fled in a car parked outside the shopping centre after the shooting. The authorities already know the identity of the attackers, but the motives for their actions have not been disclosed.
Possible feud
According to information provided by Viseu's mayor, Fernando Ruas, cited by SIC television, the shooting may have been the result of a feud between rival groups. The mayor suggested that there might have been a family dispute among people of Romani descent.
Videos available online indicate that during the incident, there was an exchange of gunfire between the attackers and the individuals who were targeted.
