Tragic end to football rivalry: Hunt on for Uganda suspect
A brawl between supporters of Arsenal FC and Manchester United ended tragically for the latter. The police are searching for the person responsible for the death of the fan, Benjamin Okello.

The tragedy occurred in the Kaharo province in the south of Uganda, near the border with Rwanda. The men met in a cinema at a shopping centre to watch the match between Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC, which ended in a 2-2 draw. In the closing minutes of the Premier League game, which was taking place thousands of miles from Uganda, emotions got the better of reason.
A clash occurred between the men, allegedly caused by one of them being hit on the head with popcorn.
The provoked fan is a supporter of Arsenal FC, and the provocateur, Benjamin Okello, was a fan of Manchester United. As reported by "The Daily Monitor" newspaper, the argument escalated into a serious brawl involving a large stick, which resulted in the death of Benjamin Okello.
I received information yesteday (Monday) morning that two men fought. One of them was rushed to Bukinda Health Centre for treatment and was referred to Rugarama, where he died from [injuries]. A scuffle started in a video hall at Kyobugombe Trading Centre, where they were watching a football match between Arsenal and Liverpool, reports official Edmond Tumwesigye.
The local police have begun searching for the perpetrator of the fatal beating. Media reports indicate he fled the scene and is hiding from the police.
We have tried to encourage the relatives of the deceased to be calm down, as we continue to hunt for the other one who is alleged to have participated in the fight, to explain what exactly happened, as well as getting information from those who were present to aid the investigations in the matter, informs a police representative.
