The final 100m race at the Paris Olympics was delayed due to an intruder on the track. The race winner, Noah Lyles, expressed his surprise at such an occurrence. As he mentioned on social media, he had no idea why the race was delayed.

During the final of the men's 100 metres at the Paris Olympics, an unexpected incident involving a track invasion did not prevent Noah Lyles from winning the gold medal. According to the "Daily Mail Sport", the unidentified individual who broke onto the track was quickly apprehended by security just before the race started.

According to a report on platform X, this incident caused the start delay, which generated astonishment and interest on social media. The race winner, who commented on the situation, could not hide his surprise that this incident caused the delay.

Is that what we were waiting for? I didn’t see anybody try to get on the field. But I won’t not going to lie, I was wondering what we were waiting for, said Noah Lyles.

During the 100-metre final, the track invasion was not the only instance of unwanted guests interrupting Olympic events. There have been disruptive incidents since the beginning of the games on 26 July. In other parts of France, fans invaded the field during football matches, e.g., during the USA vs Guinea and Ukraine vs Argentina matches.

Security forces also had to intervene when a protester with a Palestinian flag appeared at the Morocco vs. Iraq match. Meanwhile, the Argentina vs Morocco match was suspended for about two hours due to field invasions and bottle-throwing.

Although these events disrupted the competition schedule, they did not spoil the Olympic atmosphere, and athletes like Noah Lyles continued on their path to Olympic triumph, demonstrating the focus and dedication required by the Games.
