The campaign concerns a possible issue with the braking system in certain Toyota Corolla models. These cars were manufactured in Turkey and the United Kingdom between 16 January 2023 and 5 November 2024.
The manufacturer has identified a potential brake fluid leak, which could lead to reduced braking efficiency, and in extreme cases, a complete loss of braking ability. The problem primarily affects models sold in Europe, according to Polsat News.
It was also mentioned that every owner of an affected Toyota Corolla should visit the nearest authorised Toyota service centre (ASO service). The necessity for intervention can be determined by checking the VIN number.
Toyota's official website provides a list of service centres. Importantly, the repair cannot be performed by any mechanic.
Is the repair chargeable?
Under the current Toyota service campaign, vehicle owners included in the programme can take advantage of free repairs to address potential manufacturing defects. These measures aim to enhance the comfort and safety of the cars, with all repairs provided at no cost to the owners.
Toyota highlights that the service campaign mainly covers newer car models, though the company also monitors the technical condition of older vehicles. Therefore, even cars produced several years ago might be called in for service if any potential issues are identified during global quality checks.
