On Saturday, Oleh Syniehubov, the regional head of Kharkiv, informed about the horrifying outcomes of Russia's attack on Kharkiv. As a result of this ruthless attack, seven people lost their lives, including three children. The ages of the children were seven and four years, and an infant of six months.

Syniehubov conveyed this tragic news through Telegram, stating: "Regrettably, the death toll from the aggressors' attacks on Kharkiv has increased to seven."

Local authorities initially reported one death. Later, these reports were updated, elevating the death toll to five. According to the most recent statements, however, the death toll has risen to seven.

15 houses consumed in the fire

Kharkiv was attacked by Russian drones, one of which hit a petrol station causing an explosion and a fire. The blaze swiftly spread, resulting in 15 houses being completely burned.

Footage from police body cameras showing the initial moments of the operation in Kharkiv have emerged online. Patrol officers were among the first responders, providing immediate assistance, evacuating victims and, together with the fire rescue team, trying to confine the fire to prevent it from reaching neighbouring properties.

Russian forces launched a total of 31 Shahed-class drones towards the Ukrainian regions of Odessa and Kharkiv during the night. The Ukrainian air defences were able to shoot down 23 of them, according to the army's information posted on Telegram.
