US intelligence sources have reported that a significant Iranian attack on Israel is inevitable and expected in the coming days, according to Bloomberg.
As Bloomberg has revealed, Iran's planning to attack government or military sites in Israel using drones or precision missiles is seen as an inevitable event.
The report, citing anonymous sources, did not clarify whether the attack would be conducted directly from Tehran or through extremist groups such as Hezbollah.
Israel's Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, made a clear statement, saying that Israel will retaliate directly against Iran if the Islamic Republic launches an attack from its territory against Israel.
"If Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will react and attack in Iran" – stated Israel Katz.
Last week, Israel targeted the Iranian consulate in Syria, resulting in the death of Ali Abed Akhsan Naim, the deputy commander of Hezbollah's missile unit. In retaliation, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, promised revenge.
“When they attack the consulate, it is as if they have attacked our soil,” he said in a speech marking the end of Ramadan. "The evil regime made a mistake and must be punished and it shall be."
US President Joe Biden stated, "As I told Prime Minister Netanyahu, our commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad. Let me say it again, ironclad. We’re gonna do all we can to protect Israel’s security."
The news of the imminent Iranian attack has sparked widespread concern over a potential escalation of conflict in the Middle East. Earlier on Wednesday, an Israeli air strike on the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
