Residents of the USA are currently preoccupied with the upcoming elections, which in November will elect the new head of state. Donald Trump will face off against Kamala Harris, who filled the electoral gap after Joe Biden withdrew from the race for presidential re-election. The campaign is in full swing and packed with significant emotions. There is no shortage of controversies that are widely echoed in the media around the world.

Debate in the USA. Harris to Trump: You would give Poland to Putin for a favour

The pre-election race in the USA has entered its decisive phase. There are only 55 days left until the election. On 10th September in Philadelphia, the first debate took place during which the current Vice President of the USA stated, among other things, that Trump has "dictatorial tendencies" and that if he were president, Vladimir Putin would already be in Kyiv and "have an eye on the rest of Europe, starting with Poland." Meanwhile, her 78-year-old opponent caused widespread outrage by sharing a conspiracy theory that migrants from Haiti eat Americans' dogs and cats.

Taylor Swift issued a statement after the debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris! "I am voting for..."

Right after the debate, Taylor Swift decided to add her two cents to the matter. One of the most powerful stars in the industry admitted that she was motivated to speak out, among other things, by false content generated by artificial intelligence, in which she supposedly expressed support for Donald Trump. In the published statement, the 34-year-old expressed her support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and then explained her decision.

I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them - she wrote.

A photo of the artist posing with a cat was intentionally attached to Taylor's post. The star ended her statement by signing herself as a "childless cat lady." This was a reference to the words of the Republican vice-presidential candidate from 2021, J.D. Vance.

After the post, a political manifesto, was published, the artist lost over half a million followers on Instagram. Elon Musk did not remain indifferent to Taylor Swift's words. The multibillionaire, who openly supports Donald Trump's candidacy, mocked Taylor in a post on X, making her an inappropriate "offer."

Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life - Musk scoffed.

Throughout the Harris-Trump debate, the Tesla co-founder posted and reposted entries favouring Donald Trump's candidacy and opposing Kamala Harris. It is worth noting that Musk, who has eleven children, is fighting for custody of three of them, who are the fruit of his relationship with the singer Grimes.

So far, neither Taylor Swift nor her beloved, Travis Kelce, have responded to the controversial billionaire's taunt.
