In the second semi-final of the Eurovision 2024, Nemo from Switzerland struck a chord of wonder. Opting for a unique mix of opera and contemporary style, their performance featuring a cross-genre opera song and eye-catching pink attire, complete with a breezy skirt showcasing their legs, was memorable.

Sixteen acts competed in this semi-final to secure a place in the primary Eurovision contest, including three non-binary artists, among them Nemo. A Swiss Music Award recipient, they captivated the audience with "The Code," a track inspired by George Bizet's iconic opera Carmen and their life experiences.

Eurovision 2024: Nemo's stunning showcase

Nemo shared in a festival interview that the song was a tale of their journey towards understanding that they didn't fit the binary definitions of gender. According to the artist, it had been a long and challenging path, yet discovering their non-binary identity had brought them unparalleled freedom.

Nemo's performance in the Eurovision semi-final was an operatic extravaganza. Adorned in a feathered shirt, flaunting an exposed chest, paired with a pink miniskirt, they delivered a performance that had the audience in awe, thoroughly captivating them with their showmanship.

Celine Dion: A trailblazer for Switzerland

Swiss fans anticipate Nemo's advancement to the finals and hope for his victory. Switzerland last won Eurovision in 1988, thanks to Celine Dion's song "Ne partez pas sans moi." Bookmakers are optimistic about Nemo's chances, estimating a 93 percent probability of winning.
