Dissident Musa Lomayev, who has survived Russian torture in the past, talks about the "popular" tortures among Russian security forces that were used against the accused in the Crocus City Hall case. In the terrorist attack outside Moscow, more than 140 people were killed.

One of the individuals detained in the case of the terrorist attack outside Moscow was 25-year-old Shamsidin Fariduni. He worked as a labourer in Krasnogorsk. Like his colleagues, the man endured torture before ending up in the courtroom.

In the photo published on social media, Fariduni can be seen lying on the floor with his trousers pulled down to his knees. His hands are tied behind his back. Two wires stretch from his genitals to a battery.

He began losing consciousness from excitement, so they connected him to a charger... they respected his rights and gave him a phone to call a lawyer and the embassy - emphasised the channel GREY ZONE, which has access to information from the Russian Security Services.

The mentioned tortures are also called "calling Putin". Chechen dissident Musa Lomayev, who has survived such hell, in an interview for the programme "We Can", talked about how these "interrogations" are conducted.

When I saw the photos of those guys accused of that terrible terrorist attack, I immediately remembered the state I was in. Twenty years have passed, and the methods of the security forces haven’t changed at all - emphasised the man.

He believes that the security services always deny that they use this "phone". They say it's not intended for torture. However, it is so effective during torture that it is mainly used for that purpose.

The wires are attached at the weakest points on the body - not only on the fingers, not only on the earlobes but also on the genitals, it has a greater effect. All so that you confess not only to what you are accused of but also to other crimes - explained the man.

Under the influence of these tortures, one can confess to anything. Lomayev himself was forced to confess to committing five terrorist attacks.

Let's remember that on March 22, at Crocus City Hall, terrorists attacked the audience during a concert, opening fire and detonating explosives. A fire broke out, causing the roof of the building to collapse.

According to the statement of the Moscow branch of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations from Saturday, 144 people were killed, and over 550 were injured.
