Quick recipe for cabbage cutlets

Ingredients:

  • 1 small head of young cabbage,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 4 ounces of flour,
  • 4 ounces of milk,
  • sweet paprika powder,
  • salt, pepper,
  • oil for frying.

To make our cutlets crispy and delicious, just follow these few simple steps:

  1. Prepare the cabbage: Thoroughly wash the head of young cabbage and cut it into slices about 2 cm thick—season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Prepare the batter: In a bowl, mix the flour, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika until you achieve the consistency of a thick pancake batter.
  3. Fry the cutlets: Heat the oil in a frying pan. Coat the cabbage slices thoroughly in the batter and fry them until golden on both sides, roughly 3-4 minutes per side.

Cabbage cutlets pair well with a variety of side dishes. Classic mashed potatoes are an excellent complement, but they also serve well with buckwheat or rice. Cabbage cutlets are also perfectly complemented by sauces, like creamy herb-based or yogurt-garlic sauce.
