While many people are still unaware, having 2-3 cups of this beverage each day is genuinely healthy—affording numerous benefits for the body. Of course, this doesn't mean that decaf coffee is in any way second-rate. It carries equally noteworthy effects, which we'll discuss today.

Decaf coffee

There are multiple types of decaf coffee. The classic method for crafting such a food item involves soaking green coffee beans in hot water and then passing them through carbon filters. Due to this process, caffeine is removed, and the drink still has a very similar taste to ordinary coffee.

A different approach is cereal coffee. Often it's made from one of three types of cereal: rye, barley or spelt. We'd like to concentrate on the latter today. Roasting spelt grains and turning them into coffee has a pronounced impact on the human body.

Spelt coffee for health

The flavour of spelt coffee blends a delicate bitterness with a hint of nuts. Roasted grain beans contribute positively to many aspects of human health, and coffee made from them, though caffeine-free, invigorates just like the classic black drink.

Spelt coffee's primary benefit is its natural immune-boosting properties. It offers detoxifying benefits which positively impact the functioning of the liver and gallbladder. As it's rich in dietary fiber, it benefits metabolic processes, enhances bowel movement, and decreases LDL cholesterol levels. The zinc in spelt grains enhances skin and nail conditions, while phosphorus fortifies bones and teeth.

Despite spelt coffee lacking caffeine, it still provides a substantial energy lift. This is due to the high concentration of B vitamins and silica, which benefit concentration, stimulate and simultaneously induce relaxation, and positively influence the nervous system.
