School shooting in Offenburg: Suspect found with 50 more bullets
An unbelievable act of violence occurred at Waldbach School in Offenburg. A 15-year-old shot his classmate. Now, it has been revealed that the suspected shooter had an additional 50 rounds at the ready.

The tragedy unfolded on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at a special school in Offenburg, Germany (Baden-Württemberg). The suspected 15-year-old entered his classroom, which comprised nine students and two teachers, and shot his classmate in the head twice from behind. The shots were fired suddenly and from close proximity. The victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
After the shooting and fleeing the scene, the attacker slightly injured a teacher in the hallway by striking her head. He was ultimately halted by a man who was there to pick up his child from school. Following the incident at the school, an alarm was sounded, students and teachers barricaded themselves in their classrooms, and four police helicopters arrived alongside special forces. Numerous officers secured the perimeter around the school.
The motive behind this heinous act was described as "personal" by the police, with German media suggesting jealousy could have been the factor.
New details emerge on the tragedy in Germany
Recently, more alarming information has come to light. At a press briefing on Tuesday, investigating officer Raoul Hackenjos revealed that during the search of the suspect and his belongings, 50 additional bullets were discovered. Hence, the tragedy had the potential to be far more devastating, possibly leading to more victims at the hands of the 15-year-old.
Waldbach School in Offenburg serves as a specialised facility with 15 classes.
