We often make one mistake - we overlook the myriad possibilities seasonal fruits offer us. Strawberries, one of the most beloved seasonal fruits, can serve as the foundation for preparing not only desserts but dinners too. Strawberry tiramisu is one dessert we can craft from strawberries. This dessert isn't just exquisitely delicious; it also looks incredibly stunning.

Strawberry tiramisu is a twist on the beloved Italian dessert. In this version, to the classic mix of coffee, mascarpone cheese, and biscuits soaked in liquor, we add fresh, juicy strawberries. This inclusion lends the dessert a lightness and refreshing taste, while the fruity notes of strawberries form a harmonious blend with the creamy mascarpone. Strawberry tiramisu is the perfect treat for warm summer days, enchanting both visually and taste-wise.

Fresh strawberries are ideal for preparing tiramisu. Now is the perfect time for this dessert when fruits, brimming with flavour and aroma, grace market stalls. To concoct this dessert, two tiramisu cups, each with a capacity of about 400ml, are optimal. You can also assemble the tiramisu in a baking tin. Ensure to chill the mascarpone and cream in the fridge beforehand.

Ingredients:

- About 100ml of espresso coffee,
- 9 ladyfingers,
- 250 grams of mascarpone cheese,
- About 30-40ml of Amaretto liqueur,
- 120 grams of 30% cream,
- 1 cream fix,
- 30 grams of powdered sugar,
- 200 grams of strawberries,
- 3 flat tablespoons of cocoa.

Method of preparation:

1. Brew about 100ml of espresso coffee. This can be from 4 espressos, each made with 7 grams of freshly ground coffee beans.
2. Mix about 30-40ml of liqueur into the cooled coffee.
3. In a bowl, add the mascarpone, cream, powdered sugar, and cream fix.
4. Whip with a mixer, starting at low speeds and incrementally increasing the speed until the cream becomes stiff.
5. Dip the ladyfingers for 2 seconds in the cooled coffee with liqueur, snap them in half, and arrange them at the bottom of the cups.
6. Spread a layer of cream over the ladyfingers, and sprinkle with cocoa.
7. Scatter half of the washed, dried, and stemmed strawberries over the cream (cut larger ones into smaller pieces if needed).
8. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and dust with cocoa.
9. Add the remaining cream and strawberries on top.
Your mouth-watering strawberry tiramisu is ready. Enjoy!
