The incident took place on Thursday. The plane, en route from San Francisco to Osaka with 249 passengers on board, lost a wheel shortly after takeoff. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in Los Angeles.

Fortunately, no one was injured. The runway was temporarily closed. Representatives from United Airlines stressed that the airplane was capable of landing safely despite missing a wheel.

The missing part caused damage in a car park. The online footage clearly shows that it damaged at least one car and a fence.

The Federal Aviation Administration has announced that it will investigate the incident. Carrier representatives have expressed their commitment to compensating for the damages incurred in the car park.
