Russia's intercontinental missile attack leaves Ukraine reeling
On Thursday (21st November), in the morning hours, Russia launched another missile attack on Ukraine, which included the use of an intercontinental ballistic missile. This information was reported by Ukrainian Channel 24, based on the Air Force's announcement.
The ballistic missile was likely launched from the Kapustin Yar training range in the Astrakhan region and was directed towards Dnipro. The estimated launch time was 3:12 AM Greenwich Mean Time. So far, the Ukrainian Air Force has not provided further information.
It is known, however, that the intercontinental ballistic missile was not intercepted.
The statement from the Ukrainian army does not specify the type of intercontinental missile used in the attack. At the moment, it is not possible to verify the truthfulness of the Ukrainian army's claims, reports Wirtualna Polska.
The announcement stated that the Russians also conducted an attack using a Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missile, as well as seven Kh-101 missiles, six of which were intercepted.
The missiles were initially directed toward Kyiv but changed to Poltava, ultimately striking the Dnipropetrovsk region. Following this incident, emergency power outages were implemented in several regions, affecting Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk.
Additionally, it was reported that an industrial enterprise was the target of the attack in Dnipro. Two fires broke out in the city.
At least three people were killed in Thursday's attack on Ukraine, while another 22 were injured.
