Is peace possible between Russia and Ukraine? Such a question was posed to the citizens of the former country. Unfortunately, the conclusions from their responses are terrifying. Russians want to end the war, but only in one scenario.

In recent weeks, there has been increasing talk about the possibility of establishing peace between Russia and Ukraine. Both sides are exhausted from the war efforts. Even Volodymyr Zelensky admits that it's time to invite the Russians to the table and talk to them about a ceasefire.

However, it is unclear on what terms the conflict would end. Ukraine is unlikely to regain any territories it has lost since 2014. As long as the conflict continues, Russians will try to capture as many areas as possible to enter negotiations from a position of strength. Unfortunately, they are currently executing their plan. Although they are doing it very slowly, they are, unfortunately, effective.

Peace in Ukraine? Russians were asked

One reporter decided to ask Russians whether peace between them and Ukraine is possible. The responses perfectly illustrate the mentality of this country's citizens.

Peace is possible in the near future. But I am not sure if Ukraine will still exist by then - said an elderly man

He added that, in his opinion, both countries are moving towards peace; otherwise, they face destruction.

If it wasn't for the civilian population, there would be nothing left in Ukraine - claims another Russian. - Such a Ukraine must disappear. It deserves it because of its behaviour. Such a Ukraine has never existed - adds another interlocutor.

As seen in the above recording, Russians are in favour of continuing the war with Ukraine until it disappears from the map. They are still convinced of their country's great power, although the planned three-day operation has already lasted two and a half years. However, Russians have a numerical advantage over Ukraine, which unfortunately leads to the sad conclusion that they can wage a war of attrition. At the moment, however, they cannot capture all of Ukraine.
