The Krymski Wiatr channel reported the information about the commencement of the construction of the new crossing and, following it, the Ukrinform agency.

"Our eyes see everything: fortifications are being built near the Kerch Bridge. Parallel to the main structure, another bridge is being erected, for which piles are being driven. According to our subscribers, active construction is also ongoing on the segment from the bridge's arched spans to the Kuban area," the post reads.

The Ukrinform agency simultaneously reports that in temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russians continued the construction of fortifications near the bridge over the Kerch Strait, where works have already been observed using two floating cranes.

Crimean Bridge as a target

The Crimean Bridge is currently a crucial crossing for the Russians. The facility is the only land connection between Russia's occupied peninsula and Krasnodar Krai. A significant portion of supplies for the Russian troops in Ukraine reaches them through this route.

Ukrainians have already attacked the Crimean Bridge several times, but have never managed to completely destroy it. Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukrainian military intelligence HUR, announces that this time it will be different. The destruction of the crossing remains a priority for Ukrainians. "There are chances for this," he assured.
