Russian soldier's downfall: Drone theft ends in fatal blast

Astonishing misfortune and, at the same time, folly. This is how one can describe the behaviour of the Russian soldier who was killed on the front lines of the war with Ukraine. The man was convinced that he would win a clash with a Ukrainian drone. As it turned out, he was very mistaken, and his escape ended with a strike from the unmanned aircraft.

Russia sends untrained soldiers to the front who do not know how to conduct themselves in difficult situations. The military is not very perceptive, thus creating significant danger for themselves and their companions.

We have seen examples of this many times in videos shared online. It is the same this time. A Russian soldier died during a fight with Ukraine because he did not exercise proper caution and additionally wanted to steal a combat drone. How did this happen?

A video has surfaced online showing the "clash" between the fleeing soldier and the Ukrainian drone. The scatterbrained soldier was running away from the armed device, but he couldn’t run for too long.

The man did not intend to surrender, however. He decided to catch the drone with his hands and run away with it. It is not entirely clear what the purpose of such behaviour was. At one point, the situation looked like the Russian soldier wanted to steal a combat aircraft.

The end of the entire incident was not fortunate for the Russian soldier. After a few dozen metres, a remote detonator on the device was activated, and the drone exploded in the "unlucky" man’s hands. The explosion was so strong that the man died on the spot.

For most Russian soldiers, the war with Ukraine is an opportunity to make money. Some are still waiting for money from the Kremlin (which is hard to come by). Others want to get rich by robbing Ukrainians. Such a bold theft of a drone may have never been seen before.
