Russian pilot ejects and films fall after plane shot down

Russia continues to intensify its military actions to break Ukrainian defence. Meanwhile, Ukraine is trying to take the initiative on the battlefield as swiftly as possible, relying on military support from the United States and other allies. Ukraine also faces a difficult economic and financial situation, an additional burden during the war.

Russian pilots play a key role in the war operations in Ukraine. Their tasks, concerns, and decisions significantly impact the course of the conflict.

As Ukrainian Air Force Commander General Mykola Oleschuk stated, Ukrainian forces hunt Russian planes daily. Recently, they fired at them from a distance of over 150 kilometres (0 miles).

Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, shared on social media a recording showing a Russian pilot who was shot down but managed to eject.

He filmed him and his plane falling on his phone. Because the ejection took place above the clouds and at a significant altitude, it could be the pilot of a Su-30/Su-35 fighter or Su-34 bomber.

Judging by the pilot's calm behaviour, the plane was shot down deep in the rear of Russia - the politician emphasises.

The Russians showed off their planes

In April, the Russians showed off the receipt of new Su-35 fighters, which were incorporated into their armed forces. It is worth noting that the number of machines delivered by the Rostec corporation was not disclosed, but the recording shows only two units.

This is similar to the delivery of the strike variant of the Su-34, which may indicate a production rate of 2 units per quarter, which is too low to replenish the losses caused by the Ukrainians and Russian air defence.
