Russian offensives intensify around Chasiv Yar as battles surge
According to the general staff of the Ukrainian military, the Russians are concentrating their attacks around the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. The statement emphasized that the defence of the area has involved, among others, the Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR).
"In the area of Novo, near Chasiv Yar, the enemy conducted five assaults since the beginning of the day," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported Monday evening.
The daily report also indicated that the number of Russian attacks has increased towards Kramatorsk.
"The total number of enemy attacks along the entire front line since the beginning of the day is approaching 80," the staff reported.
On Monday, the Russians struck Kharkiv again. "Fierce fighting is ongoing throughout the Kharkiv region. However, the occupiers are paying a high price for their offensive attempts - since the beginning of May 27, 137 invaders have already been killed there," the staff said in a statement.
HUR is sharing videos online that show the defenders' actions in the Donetsk region.
