Oleg Sinegubow, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the drones inflicted damage on civilian infrastructure in the city's eastern part.

The assault sparked a fire in a neighborhood of single-family homes. Over 50 residents from the area were evacuated. The rescue operations were ongoing into the late evening.

The Kharkiv drone attack. "The aggressor is devastating our heroic city"

"Observe how the Russian aggressor is devastating our city, the heroic city of Kharkiv. But we will not capitulate. Dozens of private homes have been damaged. We will not yield. Glory to Ukraine," - stated an emotional Ihor Terechow.

He elaborated that the fire had spread over approximately 0.37 hectares (around 0.91 acres).

The mayor of Kharkiv voiced these words with the backdrop of burning homes where city residents had gone to rest mere hours before.

"There's no novelty here. This is true regarding the attacks and the attitude of Terechow, who was always on the scene. Whether during the occupation of our region or subsequently. To me, he's one of the better mayors," - she penned on Service X (officially Twitter).
