In the most recent daily intelligence update, the British Ministry of Defence stated that Russian forces tried to extend their control to areas located northwest of Donetsk. They are likely engaged in battles for a series of villages, including Orlivka, Toretsk, Pervomaisk, and New York.

The report highlighted that "Russian progress has slowed in recent weeks". It mentioned the heavy losses suffered by Russia in the campaign for Avdiivka as a possible reason for this deceleration.

The situation in eastern Ukraine continues to be volatile. The British Ministry of Defence pointed out that a lack of personnel and ammunition on the Ukrainian side may limit their ability to hold positions.

Minister of Foreign Affairs appeals

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba has called on the US Congress for unlocking support for Ukraine.

"Last night, while people were sleeping, Kyiv was attacked by missiles again. Over 30 missiles were intercepted, and the falling debris injured more than 10 people. I call on the US Congress to release aid for Ukraine, to save human lives, uphold freedom, and defeat Russian terror," Kuleba wrote.
