A spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, warned the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union countries of the consequences of a Ukrainian attack on the Kerch Bridge. She announced a "crushing retaliation strike" if Ukraine decides to destroy the bridge connecting annexed Crimea with Russia.

Many reports from Russian media and officials are likely untrue. Such reports may be part of an informational war by the Russian Federation.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson warned the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union of "crushing retaliatory strikes." These are to happen if Ukraine decides to destroy the Kerch Bridge, which connects annexed Crimea with Russia. Ukraine has already attacked the Crimean Bridge twice, and there are indications of planning another attack. It may occur in May or June.

I would like to warn Washington, London, and Brussels once more that any aggressive actions against Crimea will not only be doomed to failure but will meet with a crushing blow of retaliation — said Zakharova.

"The Moscow Times" highlights that if the Ukrainian side were to succeed in destroying the Crimean Bridge, it would signify a serious problem for Russia. It would be forced to transport weapons through occupied southern Ukraine, which would lead to a "significant weakening of the Kremlin's offensive capabilities."

It is speculated that Ukraine may use American ATACMS missiles to strike the Crimean Bridge. A post published by Sergei Kislytsya, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, shows a collage titled "List of six main types of bridges in 2024." Nothing is in place of the Kerch Bridge.

The United Kingdom gave Ukraine the green light

During a visit to Kyiv on Thursday, the head of British diplomacy gave Ukraine the green light to use the equipment provided by the United Kingdom. - Ukraine has the right. When Russia attacks Ukrainian territory, it's easy to understand why Ukraine feels the need to confirm that it is also defending itself — said Reuters to David Cameron.

Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the United Kingdom for its support. - Providing this package, along with the extremely important decision of the USA to assist, is of great significance at this crucial moment — said the Ukrainian leader.

Maria Zakharova responded to David Cameron's words during a Friday conference. According to her, they are proof of the "hybrid war, that the West is waging against Russia".
