Many reports from Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda, serving as part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

Aleksey Chadayev, a former adviser to Vladimir Putin who, among other roles, crafted speeches for the Russian president, predicts in an interview with Business Gazeta.ru that Russia might face serious challenges without implementing internal reforms. Chadayev warns that the country could face a situation similar to Syria's within the next five to six years.

Chadayev believes that the United States will take decisive measures to maintain its status as the world's leader. He predicts economic, military, and digital pressure from the USA. The analyst is also sceptical about the future of BRICS, claiming that the organisation might disband.

An image blow for Russia

The analyst emphasises that Russia should learn from its interventions in Syria and Ukraine. In both instances, the absence of decisive victories has led to prolonged instability. Chadayev notes that a truce without a definitive resolution has long-term repercussions. - We either fight or concede, there is no third option. So let's decide. But if you ask me, I am for fighting - Chadayev stated in one of the earlier interviews.

The former adviser to Putin believes that the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime was a significant image setback for Russia and Iran. Simultaneously, he stresses that without implementing thorough internal reforms, Russia could end up experiencing Syria's fate.
