Rüdiger's delight: Barcelona's stumble sparks viral reaction

Antonio Rüdiger from Real Madrid reacted sensationally to Barcelona's defeat by Leganes (0-1) during an event organised by Toni Kroos in Munich. A video appeared online showing the German clearly making fun of the Catalans' defeat.

While FC Barcelona lost 0-1 to Leganes, Real Madrid players, including Antonio Rüdiger, were attending an event hosted by Toni Kroos in Munich. Rüdiger learned about Blaugrana's defeat to the "Cucumbers" and reacted with laughter, showing the match result to the camera. The German's reaction became an internet sensation.

Despite the loss, Barcelona maintained the lead, but their position in the standings became more complicated.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid, with Rüdiger as one of the key figures, continue to battle for the top positions in the league, trailing Hansi Flick's team by just one point and having played one fewer match. Blaugrana tied on points with Atletico Madrid, who have the same number of points as them, but like Los Blancos, have played one fewer match.

Rüdiger, who has played 24 matches and scored two goals this La Liga season, did not hide his satisfaction with the rivals' result. If Real Madrid wins the postponed match against Valencia and Atletico continues its winning trend, the standings will change. Only Atletico and Blaugrana will swap positions, and Real Madrid will move to second place.

The situation is especially interesting because, on 21st December, FC Barcelona will host Diego Simeone's roaring team, which last lost on 27th October in an away match against Real Betis. This game will be significant for the standings at the end of 2024.
