As Radio Svoboda emphasizes, Vladimir Kiselev, the leader of the rock band "Zemliane," has refused to pay out a reward to a Russian soldier who allegedly destroyed two American M1A1 Abrams tanks at the front. He had previously assured that he would reward anyone who accomplishes such a feat.
31 M1A1 Abrams tanks were delivered to Ukraine. Initially, the more advanced M1A2 models were under consideration, but in the end, the older versions were dispatched to the front. The Ukrainians, concerned about delivery times, advocated for this change, as the USA could deliver the older versions much quicker.

Despite receiving praise from experts and Ukrainian soldiers for their significantly superior operating comfort, better equipment, and greater firepower than Soviet-era designs, the Abrams tanks have shown vulnerabilities and possess flaws.

Russians have destroyed five Abrams tanks, and three others have been damaged to a degree that temporarily sidelines them from the conflict. Two American military officials informed the Associated Press that, as a result, a decision was made to withdraw all such machines from the front.
One Russian publicly boasted about destroying as many as two Abrams tanks at the front and expected to receive a reward for it. However, he will not receive even a single ruble.
Famous rock band "Zemliane" musician Vladimir Kiselev refused to pay out a reward to a Russian soldier with the call sign "Desant," who allegedly destroyed two American tanks.

The lie of the Russian. Does not want to pay for the tank

Everything began when Kiselev, last year at the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg, promised to reward Russian army members for destroying Western tanks. The soldiers remember his public announcement to this day.

His bandmates clarify that Kiselev's reward offer was specifically for destroying German Leopard tanks and did not include American Abrams. However, in a video recorded during the forum, Kiselev declared his willingness to pay rewards for destroying both Leopard and Abrams tanks.

"Together with the ministry, we will reward anyone for destruction, anyone for capturing a Leopard and Abrams tank," said Vladimir Kiselev during the event at Russian Media Group.
However, the musician now does not intend to honor the promise made to the soldiers.
