Rhubarb crumble is the perfect dessert for any occasion

Preparing rhubarb crumble is incredibly simple. Chop the rhubarb, stew it with sugar, butter, and starch, and cover it with delicious crumble. Bake the whole thing in the oven, and you're done!

Ingredients for the rhubarb filling:

  • 750g of rhubarb, cut into 1cm pieces,
  • 50g of fine baking sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of butter,
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract,
  • 1 tablespoon of potato or cornstarch.

How to prepare:

  1. We need 150g of wheat flour, 110g of soft butter, vanilla sugar, and demerara sugar for the perfect crumble.
  2. Mix the flour with the butter, creating a crunchy texture. Add vanilla and demerara sugar, gently mixing until a crumble is ready to sprinkle over the filling.
  3. The rhubarb filling is sprinkled with the prepared crumble and placed in an oven heated to 190 degrees C. Bake for about 35 minutes, until the crumble becomes golden and crunchy and the rhubarb softens slightly.
  4. Remember, during baking, it might happen that some of the juice leaks onto the crumble, which only adds flavor and aroma to this unique dessert.
