Ground pork cutlets are a dinner classic that we know well from family homes. When they hit the table, both children and adults are happy. One simple addition can change their taste and make them even more delicious than before.

Preparing ground cutlets doesn't involve any complicated steps, making them a perfect idea for a quick and tasty dinner. Although nearly everyone loves the traditional ground cutlet, this version with an unusual addition tastes equally good, if not better.

Ground cutlets with cottage cheese

Some people add breadcrumbs to the ground meat, while others opt for a roll soaked in milk. However, I choose a slightly different addition - semi-skimmed cottage cheese. It gives the meatballs additional fluffiness and lightness, and after frying, they are unbelievably juicy. The cutlets melt in your mouth, and everyone eagerly goes for seconds.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of ground pork,
  • 200 grams of semi-skimmed cottage cheese,
  • 1 Kaiser roll,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 clove of garlic,
  • seasonings: salt, black pepper, marjoram, ground sweet paprika, dried parsley, savory,
  • breadcrumbs.

How to prepare:

  1. Finely chop the onion and sauté in oil. After cooling, add to the ground meat.
  2. Soak the Kaiser roll in cold water or milk for a few minutes, then squeeze out the excess liquid and also add to the meat.
  3. Add the egg to the meat, the minced garlic, and crumbled cottage cheese. Thoroughly knead the mixture by hand until smooth. Season to taste.
  4. Shape the cutlets, coat them in breadcrumbs, and fry in heated oil on both sides until golden brown.

Serve the finished cutlets with your favourite sides. I love them in their traditional form, with mashed potatoes and beets. Enjoy!
