Rebel Wilson renews vows in Sydney ceremony for family
Only three months after their intimate ceremony in Sardinia, Rebel Wilson and her beloved Ramona Agruma once again pledged to love, honour, and cherish each other. The actress and tracksuit designer were married in Sydney, with their closest family members present, including the actress's mother, sister, and 94-year-old grandmother.
Rebel Wilson's transformation, both professional and personal, has become an inspiration for many. The actress has gained recognition not only for her roles but also for her honesty about personal matters. Wilson's lifestyle change, which led to a loss of over 5 stone, was widely discussed in the media. However, her coming out in 2022 and the revelation of her relationship with Ramona Agruma brought the Australian into the global spotlight. Rebel jokingly said that she had long searched for a "Disney prince but really needed a princess."
It quickly became evident that Ramona was indeed the one for Rebel. Half a year after revealing their relationship, the couple welcomed a daughter, Royce Lillian, born via a surrogate. At the end of September this year, the women were married in a romantic ceremony in Italy. The wedding took place in Sardinia.
Although only three months have passed since the wedding, the newlyweds, head over heels in love, wanted to renew their vows. The second wedding was due to the absence of Rebel's beloved grandmother during the ceremony in Sardinia, as she couldn't travel due to her advanced age. Wilson decided to organise another wedding in her hometown of Sydney, specifically for the matriarch of her family (it is worth noting that same-sex marriages have been legal in Australia since 2018).
A series of photos from the ceremony were posted on Wilson's profile, where the brides posed against the backdrop of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge over Port Jackson. Rebel chose a flowing off-the-shoulder dress in powder pink for the occasion, while Ramona wore an outfit with a floral motif. The couple posed with the star's mother, sister, and grandmother in one of the family photos.
My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney! It meant my 94 year old grandmother Gar could come which was very special to us to have her included and just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year! - wrote the actress.
