If you're looking for an idea for a delicious dessert but don't have time for lengthy and labour-intensive kitchen activities, then I have just the thing for you today. I’m about to share the recipe that I've tried and tested. It really works!

You're probably familiar with a situation where your stomach and the taste buds of all other family members demand something delicious. Still, you have little time for long baking sessions with complicated cakes. Let's say such moments are nothing new to me, and I've always had to deal with this type of time deficiency. Does that mean the only sweets I'll enjoy are the ones that cost a fortune and are found at the nearby confectionery? Oh no, not.

Coping with the circumstances mentioned above can be an enjoyable experience. The milk and biscuit dessert, for which you will find the recipe below, takes me fifteen minutes to prepare, and the oven does the rest. I haven't seen a better recipe for a quick cake yet. Try it yourself, and let me know if you got the same impression!

Milk and biscuit dessert

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of biscuits,
  • 700 milliliters of milk,
  • 4 eggs,
  • 100 grams of sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice,
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
  • caramel sauce (see here).

Instructions:

  1. Crumble the biscuits by hand and pour them into the blender. Add the eggs, milk, and sugar. Also, add the lemon juice (better not to overdo it) and vanilla extract for flavour.
  2. Blend everything until you get a smooth, uniform mixture.
  3. Prepare two baking moulds, one larger and one smaller. Wrap the smaller one in aluminium foil from the outside. Pour some caramel sauce inside, followed by the entire prepared mixture. Level it out.
  4. Place the smaller mould inside the larger one. Pour water into the more extensive mould — about up to mid-height of the mould with the mixture.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes in a preheated oven at 200°C. Remove it, let it cool, and add some more caramel sauce. Done!
