Pyongyang reinforces Kim Jong Un's security amid fears
Kim Jong Un fears an assassination attempt on his life, reports South Korean intelligence. Consequently, Pyongyang has enhanced the dictator's security, employing the most advanced solutions.
Kim Jong Un's protection team has begun using limousines equipped with systems that jam external communications and devices capable of detecting incoming drones. South Korean MPs discussed these new security measures during a parliamentary intelligence committee meeting.
Further service analysis indicates that Kim Jong Un has significantly increased his public activities in recent months. This year, he has appeared publicly 110 times, as much as 60% more than the previous year.
Other significant changes have also been reported in Pyongyang. According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, the regime has moved away from the calendar that counted years from Kim Il Sung's birth—the current dictator's grandfather. This step is said to reflect a desire to reinforce Kim Jong Un's position as the sole leader of the nation.
North Korea joins forces with Russia
Information about the changes surrounding Kim Jong Un coincided with reports of North Korean soldiers soon to be on the front lines in Ukraine.
The soldiers are expected to support the Russian army. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, warned that sending North Korean soldiers to the front could be "the first step towards a world war" and appealed to the West for a decisive response.
