Putin's Unexpected Kremlin Visit Raises Questions Amid Ukraine War

Russian propagandists reported that "despite the rain and puddles," Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's convoy unexpectedly reached the Kremlin at 7:10 PM Greenwich Time. "Usually, this is a sign that something important is unfolding," writes a journalist from the Kyiv Post.

Many reports by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such announcements are part of the informational war waged by the Russian Federation.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin arrived at the Kremlin in the middle of the night. The Kremlin-linked channel "You've Listened to the Lantern" published the footage. The authors announced that the convoy, "despite the rain and puddles" and also bad weather in Moscow, reached the dictator's residence at 7:10 PM Greenwich Time.

Is something important happening?

"Usually, this is a sign that something important is unfolding. Perhaps he realized that he is losing and will lose in Ukraine?" wrote "Kyiv Post" journalist Jason Jay.

The reason for Putin's "sudden" arrival at the Kremlin is unknown. According to unofficial information, the dictator is supposed to meet with the president of Azerbaijan on Monday.

Putin "returned to lifestyle" before the campaign

At the same time, "The Moscow Times" reports that Putin has returned to the lifestyle he led before starting the election campaign. "He stopped leaving the Kremlin and his residences," the agency noted after analyzing the dictator's work schedule.

Over the last two weeks, Putin hasn't organized a single visit. For comparison, there were about 100 such visits from the start of the election campaign to April 20.

From February 17 to March 17, Putin participated in 31 events outside the Kremlin and his residences. In the last week before the elections, Putin stayed at the Kremlin or in Novo-Ogaryovo, "the royal village".
