Kremlin propaganda is trying at all costs to blame the attack on Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk on Ukraine. Putin did admit that the attack was carried out by "radical Islamists," but he continues to suggest that they had connections with Kyiv because they fled towards the Ukrainian border. However, this theory is contradicted by Lukashenko.

- The perpetrators of Friday's terrorist attack near Moscow originally wanted to flee to Belarus, not Ukraine,- Lukashenko said on Tuesday.

He added that Belarusian and Russian services coordinated their actions as the suspects fled by car southwest of Moscow, towards the Bryansk region, which borders both Belarus and Ukraine.

Russian authorities reported that the four direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack on the concert hall Crocus City Hall in the Moscow suburb of Krasnogorsk were captured as they "tried to hide, moving towards Ukraine." According to Putin, Ukraine had prepared for them a "window" during which they were to cross the border of this country.

"they saw the checkpoints and turned back"

- Belarus quickly set up checkpoints on the border, so the escapees couldn’t cross it - explained Lukashenko, quoted by the state agency BelTA. - When they saw the checkpoints, they turned back and headed towards the Ukrainian-Russian border - he said.

The terrorist attack, in which at least 139 people died and more than 180 were wounded, was claimed by the Afghan wing of the Islamic State. Putin declared on Monday that the attackers who carried out the strike were "radical Islamists." However, he added that it must be clarified why they tried to escape to Ukraine.

- "Putin and other scum" always try to shift their blame onto others - commented Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday. According to him, the Russian dictator delayed speaking out after the attack because he was thinking about how to connect it with Ukraine. - It's all very predictable - assessed the President of Ukraine.
