As announced, Princess Kate made her first public appearance in months on 15 June. She chose a special occasion for her big return: the annual Trooping the Colour military parade. The ceremony symbolically references the monarch's birthday. Traditionally, it takes place in June, even though Charles III celebrates his birthday in November.

What did Princess Kate say to her children during Trooping the Colour?

Kate Middleton's presence at the parade electrified the media. Since Saturday, the colourful press in the United Kingdom has been analyzing the princess's appearance. Although Kate did not address the crowd, Nicola Hinckley, a lip-reading specialist, claims to have deciphered what the princess said to her children. The expert's comments quickly spread through the British media.

According to Hinckley, the princess advised her children on how to behave while watching the ceremony from the palace balcony.

"You stay there, OK?" - she reportedly began her instructions.

Then she addressed 9-year-old Charlotte directly, saying: "Keep smiling. And stay here for one moment".

The grand return of Kate Middleton

Princess Kate announced her participation in the parade in a Friday post on Instagram. It was also then that she revealed a bit more about the behind-the-scenes of her chemotherapy. She doesn’t hide that she has good and bad days. When she feels better, she tries to spend her time actively with loved ones.

Trooping the Colour is just the beginning of Kate's gradual return to work. In the same post, the princess mentioned that she plans to participate in several other events this summer. However, she has yet to reveal any details.
