The British royal family has faced significant worries recently. For weeks, the media have been discussing the health problems of Sarah Ferguson, then King Charles III, and now Duchess Kate.

The King's sister ends up in hospital! What happened?

As if that were not enough, it was reported that Princess Anne had been admitted to the hospital on Monday. The King's younger sister suffered "minor injuries and a concussion" as a result of an incident on Sunday evening at Gatcombe Park estate.

Buckingham Palace issued an official statement about the incident. The statement reveals that Queen Elizabeth II's daughter is still in the hospital.

"The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery. The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to the princess for a speedy recovery" - the statement reads.

According to the BBC, the 73-year-old was likely... struck by a horse. The incident may affect her plans, as she was supposed to begin a visit to Canada later this week.
