The newly opened pier in Prerow, measuring 787 yards in length, quickly became one of the biggest tourist attractions along the German coast. Since its opening on 16 October last year, it has already attracted over 100,000 visitors. It is therefore certain that it will be a hit this year. The pier surpasses the famous pier in Sopot, which is 560 yards long.

The Prerow pier attracts masses of tourists

The pier in Prerow, located in the Vorpommern-Rügen district, has become a real magnet for tourists. Thanks to its modern design and impressive length, it attracts both locals and visitors.

The Mayor of Prerow, Christian Seidlitz, emphasises that in the first two weeks after the opening, the pier attracted many people.

At the end of the pier, there is a horseshoe-shaped port with spaces for fishing boats, recreational boats, and the sea rescue ship "Nis Randers". The port aims to enhance infrastructure for sailors, creating a convenient mooring spot between Warnemünde and Barhöft.

The Mayor hopes for even more tourists

A large viewing terrace has been prepared for walkers, from which one can admire the view of the Baltic Sea and Lake Hiddensee. Mayor Seidlitz hopes that the new attraction will draw even more tourists in the coming months.

The pier in Prerow is not only a place for walks but also for meetings and recreation. Thanks to its length and modern appearance, it has become a showcase of the Baltic coast, attracting tourists all year round. If you're planning a visit to the Baltic Sea, it's worth adding this place to your list of attractions.
