Party King salad: The layered delight every gathering needs
Although a New Year's Eve party is typically associated with drinks, delicious snacks are also a must. When the Party King arrives on the table, everyone will immediately gather to pay tribute.
Instead of the usual gyros salad or the dull vegetable salad that no one wants to look at anymore after the holidays, opt for the Party King salad. This layered snack will quickly win the hearts of all your guests, making everyone eager to shower you with praise for such a dish.
Beneath the crown of crispy tortilla chips, delicious layers await, filled with lots of vegetables, chicken, and a tasty sauce. Each bite has plenty going on, and the salad impresses even before being tasted.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil,
- 450g of chicken breast fillets,
- 2 tablespoons of chicken seasoning,
- 1 red onion,
- 1 red bell pepper,
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce,
- 200g of canned red beans,
- 170g of canned sweetcorn,
- 1 avocado,
- 1 beefsteak tomato,
- 110g of pickles,
- 310g of shredded cheddar cheese,
- 140g of tortilla chips.
Sauce:
- 140g of plain yogurt,
- 110g of mayonnaise,
- 85g of ketchup,
- 2 tablespoons of mustard,
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce,
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
Instructions:
Step 1. Begin with the sauce. In a bowl, combine the plain yogurt, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar, then mix thoroughly. If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, you can skip this ingredient. Place the prepared sauce in the refrigerator.
Step 2. Dice the chicken fillet and mix with olive oil and your favourite chicken seasoning. Sauté in a pan. Then, add the finely diced onion and bell pepper and sauté everything together.
Step 3. Chop the lettuce and lay it at the bottom of a bowl. Add the drained beans, sweetcorn, and half of the prepared sauce.
Step 4. Next, add the sautéed chicken and vegetables, avocado, tomato, and pickles. Add another layer of lettuce, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and drizzle with the remaining sauce.
Step 5. Decorate the salad with tortilla chips, creating a crown. The delicious Party King salad is ready. Enjoy!
